Tweed, Female Harris Hawk  

Tweed, one of our Harris Hawks.

Tweed was born in 2002 and has proven to be an exceptional hunting hawk, she hunts throughout the winter and has a hunting weight of 2lb 8oz.

 

     
  At the end of a school display the birds fly between two rows of children to the waiting glove of another child, or unsuspecting teacher!   Tweed, Female Harris Hawk

  Lady, having passed the lure gains height for another attempt. The lure is a leather pouch which the falconer swings and the bird chases. This way, we are able to exercise the bird and ensure she is kept fit and happy.   Lady passes the lure
